Simcha Himmel was very involved in student life on campus and served as president of his college’s student government while majoring in marketing and management. He spent his final semester studying abroad at Bircas HaTorah in Jerusalem’s old city and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a commendation for excellence in marketing. Simcha helped Touro College launch its social media department and is a contributor to several publications including the Forward. He also has 5 years of experience working for community youth departments including as Youth Director of the Young Israel of East Brunswick. Simcha enjoys reading and sports, and his favorite T.V. series is ABC’s Shark Tank.
Simcha began working for the Orthodox Union in 2015, as an administrator and subsequently project manager before joining the Orthodox Union’s Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (OU-JLIC) as its logistics and communications associate. Simcha is focused on making OU-JLIC a household name in the Jewish community and helping high schoolers make informed college decisions.
