Pack a bag, get some sleep on the bus, and come north. This Western Galilee trip is designed to be meaningful and genuinely fun—with real impact built in.
In partnership with JNF and shaped by JLIC’s new program, Abraham’s House, this overnight trip brings together students from across the country to spend time in the Western Galilee doing what Abraham’s House is about: showing up, taking responsibility, and contributing to Israel in practical and impactful ways. We’ll arrive Thursday night, share dinner, and hear from an interesting speaker who will ground the trip in the reality of the region—what the north has been through, what it needs now, and why being there matters.
Friday morning, we head out early to Dor’s Farm, L’Gaat B’Sadeh, in Abirim for a hands-on volunteer shift. It’s real work—supporting local agriculture and northern communities—and it reflects the Abraham’s House idea that leadership isn’t theoretical. You don’t need to be an expert or “fully settled” to contribute; you just need to show up and help.
After volunteering, we’ll head to Noor, a Kosher Druze restaurant in the Galilee for a relaxed, well-earned lunch—good food, good company, and a chance to experience another part of the region and its people. Then it’s back on the buses, home in time to head into Shabbat.
