Professional Fellowship

Meet the Fellows

The OU-JLIC Fellowship for Campus Professionals is a year-long training program for couples interested in working with North American college students. The fellowship is available for couples living in both Israel and America. The program consists of two components: group meetings once per month and hands-on work with college students. The program offers an annual stipend and all related expenses paid. Fellows will be prioritized for future OU-JLIC positions.

Alex & Talya Rosalki
Alex & Talya Rosalki
2023-2024 Fellows

Alex currently works as a landscape architect in Jerusalem, holding a Masters in Architectural Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK. He is also ba’al koreh, ba’al tefillah, and ba’al tokea, and learned safrut during his gap year at Yeshivat Migdal HaTorah. Alex enjoys singing Jewish choral music in the several choirs of which he is a part. Talya holds a degree in Government & Diplomacy from Reichman University, with a focus in International Law. She is passionate about living a Biblical life, enjoying learning the laws of Shmitta and agriculture in Israel, and hopes one day to have her own farm in Eretz Yisrael. Her love of Tanach started at a young age when she competed in the Chidon HaTanach and achieved third place in the United States. Talya and Alex live in Armon Hanatziv in Jerusalem. They enjoy hosting Shabbat meals, especially for the students at Ulpan Etzion down the hill.

Amira grew up in Los Angeles and attended YULA Girls High School. After spending a year learning at Migdal Oz, Amira decided Israel was her home and drafted into the IDF. She had a very meaningful service serving as a Mashakit Tash. The highlight of her service was receiving the award of excellence from the President of Israel. After completing her service, Amira started law school at Bar Ilan. She is finishing up her degree and is excited to begin working in a family law firm. Aron grew up in London and attended Hasmonean High School. He then made Aliyah and began the Hesder program at Yeshivat Hakotel, serving as a combat soldier in Nachal. Upon returning to Hakotel, Aron was a madrich for their leadership program while participating in Mizrachi’s Mechanchim program. He is currently studying Business Administration at Machon Lev while working in Herzliya. Amira and Aron met during their army services and got married in 2021. They live in Givat Shmuel.

Benny was born and raised in Efrat, and attended Hesder at Yeshivat Maaleh Adumim and Har Etzion. He served in Field Intelligence in the army, and continues to serve as an army rabbi in reserves duty. He is trained as a teacher and accountant and currently works as a manager at Prometheus, a financial consulting firm. Tehilla made aliyah with her family as a child, and also grew up in Efrat (no, they did not know each other growing up :)). Following high school she did sherut leumi at the Vehadrta project and studied for a year at Migdal Oz. She is an organizational psychologist and currently works as a project manager at Momentum. Tehilla and Benny got married during COVID (and take pride in no one having caught it at their wedding, as far as they know) and currently live in Jerusalem.

Zach Beer grew up in Woodmere, NY. He went to Rambam Mesivta and then continued his love of learning in Yeshivat Har Etzion for 2 years. Afterwards, he studied in City College where he graduated with BA/MA in History. Zach was very involved in Jewish life on campus there. He also participated in the Nachshon Project as an undergraduate and graduate fellow. Zach has worked in educational leadership roles in NCSY Relief Missions and Camp Morasha. Zach is the creator and co-author of Haftarah Helper. He is currently completing smicha at RIETS and an MS in Jewish Education at Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration during his time at the RIETS Gruss Israel Kollel. Alex Beer grew up in Teaneck, NJ. She attended Ma’aynot Yeshiva High School for Girls before studying in MMY. She earned a BA in Jewish Studies with a concentration in Education from Stern College and an MS in Jewish Education from Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration. Alex taught at the Rae Kushner Yeshiva HS for 4 years and also served as a religious guidance counselor and assistant head of student activities. She also coached the JKHA/RKYHS girls hockey teams for 6 years. Alex has a history of informal education with organizations such as Yachad and Camp Morasha. She is currently teaching at Midreshet AMIT, where she is also serving as a Rakezet, and Aish Gesher for Women.

Shira is originally from Passaic, New Jersey. After finishing high school she went to study in Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim and then went to Stern College where she planned on finishing a computer science degree. Only one year into college she decided that she belonged in Israel, and so she picked up and moved to Jerusalem. She is now completing her last year of computer science at Machon Tal. Shira enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, playing guitar, and losing herself in a good book. If you ever have the chance to meet her, be ready to answer a hundred questions about yourself. Yehuda hails from Brooklyn, New York. Before he finished high school he knew that Israel was where he needed to be. This led him to Yeshivat Birkat Moshe in Maale Adumim for Yeshiva. After a year and a half of studying, he was drafted into the Paratroopers for another year and a half. Upon completion of his service, he went back and received a Bachelors of Psychology from Yeshiva University, while also starting his Semicha studies at Riets. He now studies in Gruss Kollel in Jerusalem and is currently in his final year of Semicha as well as a Masters in Jewish Philosophy. Nothing brings him more joy than a good existential question and a warm cup of tea. They currently live in Bayit Vagan, Jerusalem for the year, and are excited about all the fantastic possibilities for the future.

Elisheva grew up in Miami, FL and graduated from Stern College with a Bachelors in English Literature after studying in Shaalvim for Women for her gap year in Israel. She is currently studying for her MSW in the Wurzweiler School of Social Work and is part of Stern’s GPAT’s program focusing on Tanach. In her free time, Elisheva loves spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and reading classic novels. Higher north on the east coast, Eytan grew up in Woodmere, NY and graduated from Yeshiva University with a Bachelors in Psychology after spending two years learning in Yeshivat Hakotel. He has completed his masters in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and is currently in his final year of Semicha in RIETS. He has a passion for music and sports and loves fostering connections with people. Both Elisheva and Eytan have a strong drive for inspiring the Jewish Future as evident in their year round work with NCSY and Yachad respectively. Eytan is also serving as the Rabbinic Intern at the Young Israel of Oceanside this year.

Elyanna and Zechariah currently live in Bayit VeGan, Jerusalem, where Zechariah is learning in the Gruss Kollel (and loving it!) Elyanna is continuing her Jewish education in the Tanach and Halacha track of Tagel where she enjoys debating hot topics and delving deeper into Torah. Elyanna has previously studied at MMY and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management at Touro College. She has worked since in the marketing and project management fields, most recently in healthcare consulting. When she’s not curled up with a book or psychoanalyzing reality TV shows, you can find her in front of an easel painting. Zechariah studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion for two years, completed a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Yeshiva University, and has been studying in RIETS since 2022. He’s interned at Google as a Software Engineer for three summers, where he’s made sure your Google Docs are still there when you come back. Zechariah loves to whip up delicious Shabbos feasts, read eclectic newsletters, and share Torah ideas. Elyanna and Zechariah are excited to help Jewish young adults build the communities they want to see in the world!

Daniel and Jasmine Peled-Schwartz

Jasmine grew up in Los Angeles and then went to Princeton, where she studied computer science and philosophy. After graduating, she moved to D.C. where she worked for the Department of Defense and then for a tech company as a government contractor. Jasmine is spending this year learning at Yeshivat Drisha. Aside from learning Torah, she loves hiking, reading, rock climbing, and dogs. Daniel grew up in Newton, MA. He learned at Yeshivot Maale Adumim and Har Etzion and then studied philosophy and Arabic at Princeton. He is now in semicha at RIETS, currently learning at the Gruss Kollel in Jerusalem. Daniel loves hiking, skiing, and nerding out about public transportation. Daniel and Jasmine are very excited to be JLIC Fellows this year. Having housed a Yavneh Bayit residence last year, they have a passion for Torah and community building, and look forward to all that they can contribute this year and in the future to JLIC!

Yonatan was born in Israel to anglo parents and grew up in Beit Shemesh. After high school he studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion and served in the IDF as an officer in Kfir. Yonatan has a BA in education and a masters in education management. He has been teaching for six years, and is currently the educational director of the high school Har Etzion Letzeirim. Eliana was raised in beit shemesh after making aliyah with her family at the age of five. She served two years in sherut leumi and then earned her degree in nursing. Since finishing school, Eliana has been working as a nurse in Shaarei Tzadek hospital, and has completed studies to become a licensed midwife. Eliana enjoys singing and writing music on the guitar or piano, her family is her best audience. Yonatan and Eliana currently reside in Alon Shvut with their two little boys.

Sophie grew up in Hewlett, NY and made Aliyah after learning at MMY for 2 years. She then moved to Givat Shmuel where she studied psychology at Bar Ilan University. Sophie currently works as a Rehabilitation Counselor and Coordinator at Marpeh Lanefesh. Aharon grew up in Cape Town, South Africa and made Aliyah after finishing High School. He spent time learning in Yeshiva, during which he also made an active effort to integrate into Israeli society. He continues to seek opportunities to serve the Jewish people and finds deep satisfaction in meaningful contribution to community. Sophie and Aharon live in Givat Shmuel where they are very active in the JLIC community.

Daniel grew up in Plainview, NY. He went to HANC High School and then continued his love of learning in Yeshivat Lev HaTorah in Ramat Beit Shemesh for 1 year. Afterwards, he studied in Queens College where he graduated cum laude with a BS in Design. Daniel was very involved in both Hillel and JLIC at Queens College holding multiple leadership roles. He was also part of the Nachshon Project as an undergraduate and graduate fellow. Daniel also holds an MS in Digital Marketing and Media from YU and is currently in his last year in RIETS (YU smicha).

Marjorie Albert was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil and moved to NY in 2013 to attend college. She graduated from Yeshiva University in 2017 with a BS in Business Management, and from Azrieli in 2019 with an MS in Jewish Education. She currently works at YU as the Associate Director of Student Life, as well as the Mechinah Program Coordinator. She is also pursuing a MSW from Wurzweiler.

Ari grew up in Cleveland, OH and attended Fuchs Mizrachi School. After graduating high school, he started Hesder at Yeshivat Har Etzion and made Aliyah. He served as a combat officer in Givati for 3.5 years and trained cadets in Officers’ Course at the end of his service. When he finished his time in the army, he returned to Yeshiva where, for the last two years, has simultaneously been learning, serving as the Head Madrich for the Overseas program, and working on a degree in education from Herzog College. In his summers he has been involved in Camp Stone, NCSY, and Mach Hach Ba’aretz, and loves nothing more than engaging with Jewish young adults. His hobbies include playing basketball, hiking, running, working out, eating ice cream, and schmoozing.

Noa spent her first 8 years in Los Angeles, before making Aliyah with her family to Nof Ayalon. She attended Ulpanat Shalavim for high school, and then served for two years as Director of the Neve Daniel Bnei Akiva Chapter. Afterwards, she studied at Migdal Oz and then attended Bar Ilan, majoring in Psychology and Educational Counseling. Noa has been involved in Bnei Akiva Israel since elementary school, and is very passionate about working with Jewish youth and young adults. After meeting Ari during her second year of college, and getting married during the Covid pandemic, Noa and Ari moved to the Yeshivat Har Etzion campus in Alon Shvut. Noa now works as a medical coordinator at a facility for adults with special needs. In her spare time, Noa likes exploring Israel, hiking, experimenting with new recipes, reading, and hanging out with family and friends.

Shima and Uriya Dvir live in Jerusalem, Israel with their cute baby boy Imri. Uriya is a Talmud and Torah teacher in a high school, and Shima is a pilates instructor and dance teacher, currently waiting to start her MA in psychology. Uriya and Shima love traveling, reading a good book, and meeting new people.

Sophie and Yehoshua are both from London but had to come to Jerusalem to meet each other!

Sophie grew up in the heart of the Jewish community in Hendon and attended Hasmonean High School before going on to further study in art and design. She then went on to study at leading Israel seminaries including Neve Yerushalayim, She’arim and Midreshet Rachel vChaya. Sophie is also a trained patisserie chef and spent her time in London as a leading member of Jewish outreach groups including Aish, TAL, Chazak and JLE. Today, Sophie is the office manager at Midreshet Torat Chesed (MTC) where she also delivers informal education through chavruta and chabura learning.

Yehoshua attended Oxford and Princeton Universities where he studied Theology and Oriental Languages. He then spent a number of years in yeshivot in Israel and kollel in England and received semicha from Rabbi Chaim Brovender and Rabbi Dovid Fink. Yehoshua also teaches at MTC and works as a lawyer in the Tel Aviv offices of an international law firm. He is studying for further semicha with the world Mizrahi Musmachim program.

Sophie and Yehoshua made Aliyah in 2016 and live in the beautiful new city of Harish with their two wonderful children. There, they organize regular learning and social events for the English speaking community.  Sophie and Yehoshua are very excited to be part of the JLIC fellowship and look forward to connecting with leading Jewish educators around the world.

Reuven & Aviva Isaacs

Reuven (29) and Aviva (27) Isaacs were born and raised in Chicago.

After graduating from Fasman Yeshiva High School, Reuven went to learn in Yeshivat Shaalvim. He made aliyah upon beginning his second year, and joined the Yeshiva’s Hesder program, through which he served as a sharpshooter in the Paratrooper’s 890 Battalion. Reuven returned to Shaalvim after the army, where he has been learning for Rabbanut Semicha in the Yeshiva’s Kollel, as well as teaching in the American program. Reuven is also completing a degree in psychology from the Open University.

Aviva attended Hannah Sacks Beis Yaakov in Chicago for high school, after which she spent a year and half learning in MMY. Aviva returned to Chicago and completed a BA in health sciences and Judaic studies. After graduating, she worked in an IVF lab before making aliyah in the summer of 2017. She currently works as an embryologist in Assuta Rishon’s IVF lab, and is completing a masters degree in genetics and fertility at Hebrew University.

Reuven and Aviva got married in 2017, and currently live on Yeshivat Shaalvim’s campus with their two daughters Avigayil (3) and Yocheved (1).

Eliezer Lerea, or Elie, is currently a rabbinical student getting Semikhah through the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. Elie grew up in Riverdale, NY where he attended SAR Academy and High School. After graduating high school, Elie spent the year learning at Yeshivat Ma’aleh Gilboa, deepening his love of Torah study and spirituality. He subsequently spent four years attending The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where he received a BS in electrical engineering and a math minor. Post college, Elie returned to Israel where he has been ever since. For the past four years he has been studying at Ma’aleh Gilboa, both completing Rabbanut exams as well as teaching Talmud and Jewish thought. After meeting Gabi, the couple got married and moved to Jerusalem. Elie now spends his time at Yeshivat Siach Yitzchak in Efrat, where he plans to both finish his Semikhah exams and deepen his study of Chassidut and Jewish philosophy. In his spare time, Elie enjoys shooting hoops, playing the piano, and playing strategy board games.

Gabi Agus was born and raised in Manhattan, where she attended Ramaz and KJ. She continued her education at Midreshet Harova, especially enjoying their spiritual slant and Zionistic fervor. Afterwards, she studied at Princeton University, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Judaic studies. She made Aliyah three months after graduating, began Ulpan, and then dove into law school at Hebrew University. She is currently in her third year, hoping to work in the children’s advocacy/family law field. For fun, Gabi loves to read, travel, knit, and play board games… that makes two!

Gabi and Elie met in December of 2020 through a mutual cousin/friend. They enjoyed their matching hot apple ciders on their first date and the rest is history. They got married in August 2021 in New Jersey and currently live in Jerusalem.

Shmuel Rosenthal grew up in Plainview, New York. After graduating from RAMBAM Mesivta (‘14), he spent two years studying at Yeshivat Torat Shraga. In the following years he attended Yeshiva University Sy Syms School of Business, where he majored in Strategy and Entrepreneurship. For the latter two of his four years at Yeshiva University, Shmuel was a Resident Advisor and Head Resident Advisor, being very involved in campus and student life. Shmuel is currently in R.I.E.T.S Semicha program with a focus on Klay Kodesh and Mental Health counseling. Shmuel and Miriam currently are blessed to live in Yerushalayim, where Shmuel studies at the Gruss Kollel.

Miriam Rosenthal, formerly Radinsky, is from West Hempstead, New York. She attended Yeshiva University High School for Girls (aka Central, ’17) and then spent a year studying at Sha’alvim for Women in Israel. Afterwards, Miriam graduated from Stern College with a major in Biology. Miriam is currently studying at the Matan Scholars Program which specializes in advanced women’s Halacha and Tanach learning. In her free time, Miriam enjoys listening to Ten Minute Hallacha shiurim on YU Torah, exploring Yerushalayim, baking yummy desserts for Shabbos, and hanging out with family and friends.

Hannah and Netzach Sapir live in Otniel, Israel with their three inquisitive children: Betzalel, Arava and Chaviv.

Hannah grew up in Oakland, CA, where she developed an abiding love of foggy weather. After high school she spent a year studying at midreshet Nishmat in Jerusalem, fell in love with learning Torah, and has been learning daily ever since. Shortly after her time at Nishmat she made aliya and received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Hebrew University. Hannah works as a high school math teacher and enjoys baking sourdough bread, solving puzzles, and helping people.

Netzach grew up in Berkeley, CA. After high school he made aliyah, and spent four years learning in the Otniel hesder yeshiva and serving in the IDF in a combat reconnaissance unit. He received a BA in Middle East and Islamic Studies from Shalem College in Jerusalem, then returned to Otniel to teach and study Torah. Netzach currently works as the local Youth Director, teaches in the Talmud Torah, and is getting his teaching certificate at Herzog College. When he’s not learning Torah, Netzach enjoys hosting Shabbat meals, playing guitar and mandolin, listening to Bob Dylan, and thinking about learning Torah. He misses working in the garden during shemita, but consoles himself with ill-attempted home-carpentry projects and raising a small flock of hens.

Rachel Atwood, formerly Rosenberg, was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. She attended high school in Atlanta, GA and then continued her education in Shaalvim for Women for one year and Stern College for three years. She currently is living in Jerusalem with her husband, Ben, as he studies in the Gruss Kollel. Rachel serves as the Assistant Director of the Tikvah Fund’s gap year program and teaches a chaburah in Shaalvim for Women. She looks forward to beginning law school in the fall at Emory University. 

Ben grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, and is currently studying for semikha at the Yeshiva University’s RIETS. He recently graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva College with a B.A. in English, and was a Straus Scholar at YU’s Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought. Prior to college, he spent two years at Yeshivat Har Etzion. Ben has extensive experience working with Jewish young adults at Camp Moshava IO, NCSY, and the Tikvah High School Institute. 

Ben and Rachel met in the summer of 2018 as co-counselors for NCSY’s TJJ. They have worked on many programs together in the past and look forward to continuing their work as a team of educators. They have a passion for working with Jewish teens and young adults and are excited to be participating in the OU-JLIC fellowship in Israel and hope to continue their work with OU-JLIC back in America.

Hannah grew up in Teaneck, NJ by way of Rochester NY and attended the Ma’ayanot Yeshiva HS for girls. She considers herself an intown girl with an out of town heart. Hannah then spent a year learning at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim in Jerusalem, proceeded by volunteering for a year of national service at Chorev Elementary School in Jerusalem. After Hannah made Aliyah, she got married and then finished a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Informational Systems from Jerusalem College of Technology, Tal Campus. Hannah currently works as a Tax Associate at Masamerica in Tel Aviv. Hannah and Yehudah have an adorable son Daniel who spends most of his time rocking out to Sesame Street. Hannah’s hobbies include reading non-fiction books of the Culinary Arts (cookbooks), spinning- the thing on the bike that goes nowhere, binge watching Friends and learning פניני הלכה. Hannah has spent most of her adult life living in Sha’alvim, where she also serves as an housemother to the students of the Yeshiva. Hannah is extremely passionate about being a mother, personal growth, and expressing love through food. 

Yehudah hails from Cedarhurst, NY where he graduated as valedictorian of his class at the Mesivta Ateres Yaakov, High School for Boys. Yehudah went on to Yeshivat Shaalvim in Israel, where he learned for a year and a half before enlisting in the IDF and serving in the Golani Brigade as a sharp-shooter. After his service, Yehudah went back to Sha’alvim to continue his Torah-learning pursuits and is currently working to complete Semicha from the Mizrachi Musmachim program. Yehudah currently works on the staff of Yeshivat Shaalvim as a Teacher’s Assistant, where he gives shiurim on topics ranging from Talmud, to Jewish Philosophy & History. Yehudah is also completing a bachelor’s degree from the Jerusalem College of Technology in Business Management & Entrepreneurship. Yehudah’s hobbies include playing Chess or other intense sports, drinking French press, reading biographies, and discussing current events. He enjoys a spirited debate and loves to schmooze. Yehudah is passionate about Torah, Judaism, and his family.  Hannah and Yehudah have also gained invaluable experience as members of the Mizrachi Shalhevet Leadership Seminar, where they became certified Chattan and Kallah teachers, and as fellows of the OU- JLIC Shalhevet Campus Fellowship.

Ariel and Dorit live in Baka, Jerusalem, Israel with their son Ivri. They love having guests over and their Shabbat table is always filled with a plethora of people from a range of backgrounds. 

Ariel, a native-born Israeli and Jerusalemite somehow landed up with an American girl from New Jersey. Ariel studied in Horev high school in Jerusalem, Mechinat Eli and served as a commander and sniper in an elite unit in the army. Ariel can often be found exploring the latest unmarked hiking trail, organizing the local Minyanim or tutoring adolescent immigrants in Hebrew and Judaic studies while playing basketball or soccer. When he isn’t busy learning with a neighbor he works as an accountant, but he secretly hates numbers. 

Dorit grew up in West Orange, NJ, but she always dreamt of making Aliyah. Dorit attended Stern College for Women and then worked as a Beit Midrash Fellow at SAR High School. Shortly afterwards, Dorit made Aliyah. She studied school psychology at Ben Gurion University and education at David Yellin College in Jerusalem. Dorit is an English reading specialist and a School Psychologist. She also teaches at a local elementary school. Dorit is passionate about helping immigrant children and their parents acclimate in the Israeli school system. When not counseling or teaching, you can find her reading a book, studying to be a Kallah teacher or trying out a new recipe

Josh Fagin was born and raised in Woodmere, New York. After graduating from DRS Yeshiva High School (’13), he spent two years studying in Yeshivat Hakotel. In the following year, he participated in the All Day Learning Program in Yeshiva University. Upon completion of his degree in Jewish History from Yeshiva University, Josh returned to Israel to continue his studies at Yeshivas Itri in Yerushalayim and gave a weekly chaburah at Yeshivat Hakotel. He has been very involved in NCSY Kollel over the last few years. Josh currently lives in Yerushalayim with Adina and their son Yaakov. He is currently continuing his rabbinic studies at Yeshivas Itri.  

Adina Fagin is originally from Silver Spring, Maryland. She attended Berman Hebrew Academy and then spent a year and a half in Shaalvim for Women. Adina graduated from Stern College with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Jewish Studies. Since graduating, Adina has taught in Shaalvim for Women, and now works in a lab studying the way elderly people recover from injuries.  In her free time, Adina volunteers as a crisis counselor at the crisis text line, hangs out with baby Yaakov, and has recently picked up yoga. She too lives in Yerushalayim.

Rav Josh Lehman grew up in Monsey, New York but has spent most of the last decade living in Israel. After studying in Yeshivat Hakotel for 2 years and serving as a combat soldier in the IDF, Josh continued on to study Computer Science at the Jerusalem College of Technology. He then received Smicha from the Mizrachi Musmachim Program while serving as a Gemara shiur assistant and teacher in both Yeshivat Hakotel and Aish HaTorah.

In addition to playing guitar, running, and enjoying a good football game, Josh loves to spread his passion for learning Torah through a warm yet sophisticated lense. He loves to build full and meaningful relationships with everyone he meets and never gets tired from a long shmooze.

Rikki Lehman grew up in Miami Beach, Florida. She studied for a year and a half in Sha’alvim for Women in Yerushalayim, and went on to study in Stern College for Women, where she majored in psychology. During her college years, Rikki was involved in informal education, as an NCSY advisor during the year and on summer programs such as Michlelet and TJJ. The summer after graduating Stern, Rikki made Aliyah and worked as a madricha and part-time teacher in Machon Maayan. She now works as an Admissions Coordinator for Yeshiva University in Israel, and continues to teach classes on Navi and Modern Jewish Thought in Machon Maayan. 

Rikki is a big coffee lover and enjoys road tripping with family and friends. She is passionate about teaching and learning from people of all different backgrounds, and creating lasting relationships with those around her.

Ben and Ellie Menora live in Alon Shvut with their four beautiful children – Maayan, Hodaya Malka, Moshe and Ayelet Rachel.

Ben made Aliya as a kid from Chicago, IL. He served for 3 years in the IDF’s Golani brigade, and continues to serve as a staff sergeant in the IDF reserves. Ben studied in Kerem B’Yavneh before and after his army service, and he then completed a law degree in Bar Ilan University, splitting his time between the law library and the BIU Kollel. After 2 years as a legal intern, his love of learning and teaching Torah brought him to Yeshivat Har Etzion, where he joined its Kollel, got involved with the overseas program and completed a teaching certificate at Herzog College. Ben loves running, hiking, playing music and learning and living Judaism with family and friends.

Ellie was born in London and lived there until the age of 13 when she made Aliya with her parents and five siblings. From the age of five she trained in gymnastics and swimming and at the age of fifteen became an instructor teaching kids of all ages. She attended Midreshet Tehilla in 2010, and went on to earn her bachelor’s of science in nursing at Machon Tal in Jerusalem.  She started her nursing career in the emergency room in Shaarei Tsedek. Ellie has also been volunteering as a medic for Magen David Adom since 2014 and loves being able to help people day or night. She also trained with Rabanit Shani Taragin to become a Kallah teacher.
In her free time Ellie thoroughly enjoys hiking, running, swimming, spending quality time with her family, and hosting meals on Shabbat and yom tov.

Nimrod was born in Jerusalem and raised in New Jersey. He studied at Yeshivat Birkat Moshe in Maale Adumim, and then at Yeshiva University where he received a BA in Political Science in 2014. In 2018 he received an MA in Modern Jewish History from the Bernard Revel Graduate School and Rabbinic Ordination from RIETS. He is currently pursuing an LLB from the Law Faculty at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and works at the Rabbinical Courts of the Rabbinate of the State of Israel. Nimrod loves sharing words of Torah and learning new things. He is passionate about Jewish History and Israel.

Chana grew up an Army brat, moving around the world. She received a BA in Middle Eastern and Religious Studies from the College of William and Mary and an MA in Global Communication from George Washington University. As a graduate student, she spent a year doing research in Rabat, Morocco with the Boren Fellowship. Chana has a unique professional background – she previously worked as an Intelligence Analyst for a government contractor and a Social Media Analyst for the US Navy. She currently works as a Senior Digital Analyst for DKC. In her spare time, Chana loves learning Torah, reading a good book, running the occasional half marathon, and trying out new recipes.
