Hundreds of JLIC Students Gather for Lag Ba’omer

Hundreds of JLIC Students around the globe gathered together to celebrate Lag Ba’omer.

In Israel, nearly 200 students at Reichman University and members of JLIC Herzliya gathered on Lag Ba’omer night for a kumzitz, bonfire and good food for a night with old and new friends.

Sara and Rabbi Josh Klein of Penn hosted a cozy backyard Kumzitz with a bonfire, s’mores, and nosh. Students davened Ma’ariv together and celebrated by sharing words of Torah and singing late into the evening.

Yavneh West and JLIC West partnered for a joint event bringing together over 135 students from UCLA, Valley, SMC and grad students throughout California. Students gathered at Dockweiler Beach for a special La B’Omer “Balayla” Program. Energized by the beat of the music, they enjoyed socializing, sampling the freshly grilled meats and the warmth of the raging bonfire. Kudos to dedicated student leaders for executing such an optimal program!?

After a grueling week of work, students at Princeton University submitted their final papers and then came to roast marshmallows, sing and shmooze at the JLIC residence.

JLIC Tel Aviv hosted a Lag Ba’omer barbecue with kumzitz and Torah on a rooftop in the Kerem HaTeimanim neighbourhood overlooking the old market and the sea. With around 100 attendees, the celebration went from 7pm until midnight.
