Give the JLIC Kids in Israel a Hug

Over the past days, thousands of students and young professionals across our 10 JLIC campuses and 6 young professional communities in Israel have raced to safe rooms—some in the middle of Shabbat, others in the middle of shiur. Some have even been called up to miluim.

And yet, Torah has not stopped.

Despite restrictions on gathering, our educators have pivoted to Zoom, broadcasting shiurim from BGU to Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. These moments of learning aren’t just academic — they are emotional lifelines, threads of meaning and stability in a time of fear and uncertainty.

But it doesn’t stop there.

Our JLIC communities have stepped up to care for all of Am Yisrael — organizing food deliveries for families in need, sending meals and supplies to soldiers in miluim, and showing up for neighbors who need a hand to hold. The heart of our students is wide open — and now we need to meet them with the same love.

This is where we, across America, come in.

We can’t physically be there. But we can send a hug — through support that helps sustain their Torah, their chessed, and their strength.

Give a hug. Sponsor a shiur. Fund a care package. Let them feel us with them.

Because they’re not just students. They’re our kids. And they’re holding up the spiritual front lines of Am Yisrael.
