Finding Faith Through Laughter: A Night of Comedy and Emunah in Jerusalem

Shoshana Shazam Comedy and Emunah event with the JLIC Jerusalem CommunityOn March 10th, the JLIC Jerusalem community brought together 40 women for an unforgettable evening at the Tibbetts Home. This gathering wasn’t just any ordinary event; it was a celebration of Rosh Chodesh Adar Bet, a night filled with laughter, camaraderie, and emunah.

The ambiance was set with a wine and cheese display, creating an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. But the true highlight of the night was the comedic genius of Shoshana Shazam, a former JLIC educator at Queens College turned comedian and inspirational speaker.

Shoshana, now residing in Ramat Bet Shemesh and fully embracing her passion for comedy, took center stage with her headliner show “Comedy and Emunah.” As she stepped into the spotlight, the room erupted with anticipation, knowing they were in for a night of uproarious laughter and heartfelt insights.

With her unique blend of humor and wisdom, Shoshana delved into personal and private topics, fearlessly tackling issues that resonated deeply with the audience. From navigating the complexities of everyday life to grappling with faith and spirituality, no subject was off-limits in her comedic routine.

What made this event truly special was its exclusivity—it was a women-only comedy show, providing a safe and supportive space for attendees to let loose and connect on a deeper level. As the night progressed, the laughter grew louder, and the bond among the women in the room strengthened.

The energy was electric, with Shoshana effortlessly commanding the stage and engaging the audience with her infectious enthusiasm. Her ability to infuse comedy with messages of faith and resilience left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to be in attendance.

As the night came to a close, and the echoes of laughter subsided, the women left feeling uplifted and inspired. They had shared not only in the joy of laughter but also in the collective strength of their community.

This Adar event was more than just a comedy night; it was a celebration of the unwavering belief in the power of laughter to heal, unite, and believe.
