Yavneh Connect: Bridging Campus Life and Professional Growth in NYC

On April 7, 2025, the Yavneh network hosted an engaging evening of connection and professional development in New York City. Young professionals and college students gathered at JNF-USA offices for “Yavneh Connect,” an event specifically designed to bridge the gap between campus life and post-graduation careers.

Yavneh, a prestigious leadership program operating under JLIC, has established itself as a cornerstone for developing young Jewish leaders through intensive Jewish learning, leadership training, and community-building initiatives on college campuses nationwide.

The event brought together current Yavneh on Campus Fellows, Yavneh Young Professional fellows and alumni for meaningful networking and mentorship opportunities. Attendees participated in a panel discussion where established alumni professionals shared insights on navigating career paths and community involvement after graduation. The group also had dinner together which allowed for more intimate conversations and connections.

Attendees also heard from JNFuture professionals and JNFuture Board Members about the importance of philanthropy, especially at this stage of life. This promoted a wonderful discussion about values based giving and all the wonderful things JNF-USA does to support Israel and the Jewish people worldwide. JNF-USA graciously hosted the gathering at their office space, demonstrating their continued commitment to supporting Jewish leadership development.

“The partnership between Yavneh and JNF-USA represents our shared vision of nurturing Jewish leaders who will make meaningful contributions both on campus and in their professional communities,” said Rabbi Jonathan Shulman. “By supporting these young adults through their educational journey and into their careers, we’re investing in a stronger, more connected Jewish future.”

The Yavneh leadership program’s strength lies in its continuity, providing guidance and community not just during college years but extending into professional life. This event highlighted how the skills developed through Yavneh’s campus initiatives translate into workplace success and continued community engagement.

Yavneh extends its appreciation to JNF-USA for their generous support and for hosting this valuable networking opportunity. Their commitment to building the next generation of Jewish leaders continues to make a profound impact on both individual careers and the broader community.
